Douglas Eger is the Chairman and CEO of Intrinsic Exchange Group, a financial innovation firm that is revolutionizing natural capital financing by pioneering the Natural Asset Company model. Douglas created the Natural Asset Company model to ensure that the holistic value of nature is accounted for in the global economy, and to forge a pathway for rapidly addressing biodiversity loss and climate change. This builds on an accomplished career spent developing promising ideas into vibrant companies in finance, technology, healthcare, and media. Douglas is also the Founder and CEO of Entertaining Ideas, a media and idea incubator, which incubated IEG. His media accomplishments include production of Academy Award-nominated, Emmy-winning documentaries. Prior to IEG, Douglas was Chairman of Pet360, sold to PetSmart in 2014. He previously served as: Chairman and CEO of AMEX-listed Sheffield Pharmaceuticals; Founder, TechSource; Co-Founder, Kachina Capital.
As a conservation buyer, Douglas partnered with The Open Space Institute and The Trust for Public Lands to preserve 7,000 acres of land and restore two historical estates 100 miles northwest of New York City.
